I'm all ears. This can be slightly magical or full on magical.

 :thankyou

Mine!  Haha.  The Enchanted Pony Academy is set in a magical world. :) It was a lot of fun to write.

You mean other than the obvious Magic Tree House, right? My daughter used to love a couple, but they might be too old for your needs. My thirteen year old is rereading a series that involves kids helping animals and animal ghosts. I'll try to get the title tomorrow.

LOL you were the first person who came to mind, Lisa. I already have super cute ponies ordered and on their way to me. :)

Thanks, Debbie. Yes, I'm not really thinking along the lines of The Magic Tree House. As much as I love those books, I'm not looking for 'time travel' ones.

A wizard of earthsea, and the Dark is rising (Ursula Le Guin and Susan Cooper). Oldies but goodies.

Here's one of the series: http://www.lindachapmanauthor.co.uk/us.htm. The other may be out of print.

My daughter also liked Katie Kazoo, but I didn't think the writing was that great. (I still don't know why the girl keeps her best friend.)

And my son suggests Animal Ark: Hauntings.

Secrets of Droon and Animorphs might also fit your bill.

The Magic School Bus and Scooby Doo also have chapter books.
