Title: New study supports importance of reading to children
Post by: bonny-gable on May 26, 2018, 07:43 AM
This may seem like 'preaching to the choir' to all of us, but this article explains what actually happens in a child's brain as the result of interacting with a human and a real book. Enjoy!

Yet---many parents do not understand the benefits. I teach PreK and every year I struggle with parents who want "homework," or, tell me their child learned English from watching tv. Ug!

Thanks for posting. I can feel my blood pressure rising.     :grrr
