Title: Question about NaPoWriMo
Post by: patricia-brown on March 30, 2019, 06:40 AM
Good Morning,

I'm thinking about participating in NaPoWriMo and have several questions:

Have any of you ever participated and written children's poetry for NaPoWriMo?
I don't yet have a website, and am wondering if I should just write the poetry on a free blog?
If so, which platform would you recommend? WordPress? Blogger? others?

Thank you so much in advance for your help, have a wonderful day!

:welcome Patricia! I've never participated in NaPoWriMo but I do find Blogger to be the most intuitive for the free website (I can be very tech challenged at times). All the best as you go about writing and sharing your poems!

Thanks so much Vijaya,

I decided to go with Blogger and am so excited! I added my (now blank) blog to the NaPoWriMo site, and will be sharing the children's poetry that I'l be writing there. I was very impressed by your website, especially by the wonderful transformations you have had in your life! You are truly an inspiration to me as I'm sure you are to many writers.  Thanks again, and God bless you.  :goldstar

Thank you, Pat. It's been 11 yrs since I started the blog and no longer the same. "Transformed" is truly the correct word. Like a :butterfly

I'm so glad that you already got the website set up. We have a section: https://www.scbwi.org/boards/index.php?board=274.0  where people post what they blogged about so be sure to post your link there.
