Does anyone know of any websites dedicated purely to picture book illustrators? (ie not just one illustrator, but many.) I found one:
http://picture-book.com/ but it's not extensive. I'm also after blogs and any other sources of info.

Siski. . . do you know about Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast???  http://blaine.org/sevenimpossiblethings/

Victoria Jamieson: http://victoriajamieson-illustration.blogspot.com/

These are two that I read regularly.

So when do we get to see some of your artwork??   :smile

Siski: Here's one.

If you find any children's art rep or agent, you'll find loads of art samples of illustrators, and a link to their website. It's the easiest way to view multiple websites of illustrators. When I was an art director, I used to use Picture Book, which is a directory of illustrators that choose to advertise in the book. (Art reps would advertise their illustrators, mostly.) It was expensive, so it's a limited resource.

I'm sure SCBWI also has a listing of lots of illustrators, though they're not all professionals and you'll find various skill levels. Best bet is looking up artist agent/rep's websites.

A link for you

http://kathytemean.wordpress.com/2010/09/25/illustrator-saturday-mike-scott/

A different illustrator is featured each Saturday.

You can subscribe [free] to the blog and get the posts sent to your email.

I'm not an illustrator but as a PB writer I get a lot from reading these - about the illustrator's technique, process, etc.

Ooh, thank you, all! I just love looking and salivating. Seriously. I dribble when I look at good children's illustration!

Kellie, you might see some artwork of mine in, oh, let's see now... another lifetime! he he.

Siski,  I don't know if this is what you are looking at, but this is the blog for the illustration wing of the Western PA SCBWI.  It may not be the thing for beautiful pictures, but it does give lots of info about illustration events within striking distance of where you live.
