Wonder what it means for authors who've sold them work but haven't yet been paid.

Maybe our stories will finally get published and we'll get paid?

Wow, something's in the air. The second digital company to purchase print this week!

Wow. I thought the same thing, KarenB.
Forgive me if this is a silly question, but I didn't see it in the article, and I'm curious - does this mean they'll switch completely to e-publishing the Carus magazines from now on, or will they continue in print as well?

Not sure, Laurenwrites.  Maybe someone from Carus will pop in and help us out.

From what we've been told so far, at this point in time, there are no plans to make our magazines all-digital, although there may be digital editions. Further down the road, we don't know yet. This was a surprise for us, too, but we all think it's a good thing for the company. Despite the bad reputation we've been getting, those of us in editorial really believe in our magazines.

Thanks, Marcia for clarifying this. The whole e-publishing thing appears to be making a forward charge at the moment. As they say, we are living in history right now. Interesting to see where this takes us..

Thanks, Marcia. I love the Cricket Magazine Group and I'm glad to see they will live on. It has been frustrating that it takes so very long for authors to get paid from Carus for work, but I understand they've had rough times. I hope this will be good news all around.
