I'm looking for chapter books and middle grade novels with trials or mock trials in them. Preferably humorous. So far I have THE LEMONADE CRIME and . . . well, that is all I have.

I can't think of any funny MG books with trials, only Walter Dean Myers' decidedly unfunny YA novel, MONSTER.

'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' has a trial near the start, although the books were arguably more YA than MG by that point (and it's not exactly humorous). Sorry I can't think of any better examples!

Wanted: Mud Blossom by Betsy Byars
Freddie the Detective by Brooks

Witch of Blackbird Pond by Spears (not funny)

Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer by Grisham (not funny)

I think there's one or two in the Encyclopedia Brown series.

Picture Book: The Judge by Zemach

TRIAL BY JOURNAL by Kate Klise is hilarious! You know, if you're still looking, two months later.
