I've exhausted all the research online and I can't find exactly what I'm looking for...

Can anyone out there tell me of any cookie festivals in the U.S.? They can be small or big, and ones that have a bit of a history behind them would be especially helpful to hear about.

Thank you!

Mattoon, Illinois has a bagel festival.

I don't know of any cookie festivals, but if you find any, will you please let us know? We could rent a Blueboards bus and take a road trip.  :motorhome

The Joy of Cookie Tour is held yearly in Lawrenceville, PA, and they have a website all about their cookie tour.      :beach

New!
Thanks Stephanie. I found the ones I could find on the internet, but none of them were quite what I was looking for, which is why I tried here. I sort of followed the yellow journalism tactic of making the story first and then looking for the facts to fit it. :whistle

I was hoping there'd miraculously be some out there that hadn't made the internet scene, especially in Virginia, West VA, the Carolinas, or Maryland. The one in Lawrenceville and the one AnnH mentioned in Ohio are the closest I could find as well, so thanks ladies.

If we're taking votes for which festival to crash, I'm voting for Lawrenceville as long as we go by way of Hershey, PA--a little chocolate with cookies is always a good thing. :)

I appreciate the help! :thankyou

And dewsanddamps, who knew...a bagel festival? That sounds like another story waiting to happen.  ::-)
