Hi all,

I'm developing a fictional contemporary secondary character who is an 8th grade Chinese American girl. I have a few questions related to a possible situation and subplot as well as the likelihood of her having a grandmother still in China.

I'm wondering if someone with some expertise or experience might be willing to chat or answer a few questions via e-mail.

Thanks,
Jean

There's an amazing article up on Cynsations about minority sidekicks. It's long but very thoughtful and meaty. Lots to chew on and ponder and apply. Here's the link: http://cynthialeitichsmith.blogspot.com/2014/02/writing-tonto-wise-cracking-minority.html

Good luck, V.
