How to find an 'old' thread?

I had the most wonderful response to a question I asked (probably over a year ago).  An established author responded.  I'm embarassed to admit that  I've misplaced everything, her name, web addy and the thread.  It was about poetry collections and I thought it might be helpful to others(the question has just come up again today)  but I can't seem to find it.  Are threads archived for a limited amount of time, or am I just not using the right keywords in searching?

Almost everything should be here, TH, with very few exceptions.  You probably just need different keywords.

You only have 143 posts--try going to your profile, hitting "show last posts of this person," and see if you can find it that way.
