Looking to break into this industry with non-fiction.  Anyone able to provide support/advice on subbing to mags like Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, etc?  I have the Market book...just looking for some tips on what I can do with the actual writing of the articles to hedge my bets.

You can probably find their guidelines in CWIM or online if you search.  I think most of the "biggies" are not taking fiction, but I think there's always a need for non-fiction.  Good Luck!

*Sigh* Cicada was the best, but it's been closed to submissions for quite a while.  :fury

Read a lot (at least twelve issues) of the mag you plan to sub to. That always helps.
