Hello, oh sagacious ones.  How do I remove a topic from my "Show new replies to your posts" listing?

Hello, oh sagacious ones.  How do I remove a topic from my "Show new replies to your posts" listing?

Weird.  So "Introduce yourself" will forever remind me of its existance, but this thread, which I was very keen to see new postings in, never showed up in the new postings listing.  Do I have something configured incorrectly, or is the Universe just out to get me again...  pesky universe...
