My outlines are quite messy, Elissa. They are like some kind of letter, usually written by the main character, where all the most important scenes, plot twists and moments are briefly described.
Don't worry so much about following a chronological order, try writing first the scenes that are more vivid in your mind -and then you can begin to fill the gaps. But most of all, don't feel forced to outline at all -many great writers never do it.

Hugs and good luck! :)

Thanks for sharing. It looks wonderful. I'll be trying it with my next book. I used the book 90 Days to your novel by Sarah Domet to write my last novel. The 90 days were just a metaphor for me, but the book helped me plenty with the pre-writing and I felt free to write and change and search for the novel that was there, in the cave. I recommend the book highly. I sent my book to a contest and we shall see.  :flowers2
