PB blog recommendation?

Hey all you hard working writers!

Can anyone recommend a blog by an agent or publisher who specializes in picture books?  I just scrolled through Nathan Bransford's blog with Literay Agent, and it is great (and he's a hunk to boot) and I was thinking how helpful it would be to have that kind of depth in the PB world.  I know it's out there, but where?

Thanks,

Cheryl Klein of Arthur Levine has a great site.  She doesn't do PB exclusively, but she does work with PB's and has a great talk about PBs posted on her site Talking Books. http://www.cherylklein.com/talks.html -- look for Making a Picture Book Cookie. She also has a blog with lots of great stuff -- http://chavelaque.blogspot.com/.

Hope that helps.  I am a PB writer and interested in other responses to your question, as well.

I have a pb blog: Woven With Pixie Dust: http://wwwpamcalvert.blogspot.com/

I really try to post information just for pb writers out there like PiBoIdMo! I'd love to follow more pb authors on my blog, too.

There's also PB Planet: http://pbplanet.blogspot.com/

Thanks Jacqui! And thanks for starting this thread, LL, since I'm always on the lookout for pb specific blogs.

You may know these already, but since you originally asked about editors and agents...
Editorial Anonymous has really useful posts, and a lot of them relate to pbs: http://editorialanonymous.blogspot.com/
Bunny Eat Bunny is by former editor & now agent at Sanford Greenburger Assoc., Brenda Bowen, and she reps all genres: http://bowenpress.blogspot.com/

Other blogging author/illustrators (besides the brilliant author/blueboarders who are already listed!):
http://www.adamrex.blogspot.com/
http://floriancafe.blogspot.com/
http://mowillemsdoodles.blogspot.com/
http://missedconnectionsny.blogspot.com/
http://renataliwska.blogspot.com/
http://sergioruzzier.blogspot.com/
http://planetham.blogspot.com/

and I'm sure I'll think of more after I post this... (!)

"A SITE FOR ALL YOUR READING DISORDERS.

LOOKING FOR BOOKS ABOUT TEDDY BEARS OR RAINBOWS OR FEELINGS? YOU’RE AT THE WRONG PLACE. HERE WE CELEBRATE THE OFFBEAT, THE ABSTRACT, THE UNUSUAL, THE SURREAL, THE MACABRE, THE INAPPROPRIATE, THE SUBVERSIVE AND THE FUNKY."

I'm a picture book author that has a blog and website dedicated to books.  If you want to check in to what kids are reading these days and check out what I'm thinking about books go to www.marytrain.com

i also like Cheryl Klein's blog.  You can follow her on twiiter as well, along with Arthur Levine, who she works for...

Thanks for all of these, again. I write picture books and have a blog, but mine isn't just for writing -- it's a little of everything. I'm looking forward to seeing all these PB blogs!
I'd love to hook-up with any picture book writers on Facebook too.  :bookclub

Go to www.kidlit.com. You will find the most down-to-earth easy-to-understand advice on all things children writing there. It's written by Andrea Brown agent Mary Kole, who reps PB, MG and YA. I strongly recommend it.

Franzisca,

What a great blog.  That is exactly what I was looking for.

It is great to get a sense of Mary Kole's personality.  I wish more agents had blogs for this very reason.

Thank You.

No one has posted on this thread in a while, but I know that it's being visited! So I thought I would add that I now have a looong list of links that are picture book related, on a page on my blog.
