My first picture book, A New Job for Dilly is a series, with more books to come. My second one, Lemur Troops & Critter Groups is actually the first in a three book set. I guess that would be called a trilogy, right?
Just out of curiosity, what are some of your favorite picture book series?  :cookiemonster

One picture book series that I loved reading to my kids, and they loved too is the Axle Annie series. She's a cheery bus driver who has to put up with speed grumps and other jealous bus drivers. Illustrations were hilarious. Word choice captivating. And the humor runs through every page.

My daughter loves the Angelina books, and I enjoy them, too.  My own personal favorite series (although perhaps technically easy reader and not PB) is Elephant and Piggie by Mo Willems.

Those both sound like fun sets. I've always enjoyed the If You Give A Mouse A Cookie series, though the first one really stands out for me. The Berenstain Bears is a big one with my boys too.

l love the Bereinstain Bears unconditionally. :D I also enjoy the How do Dinosaurs (though it scares me a bit), and am particularly fond of Skipyjon Jones!

That said, it is hard to choose just one... Madeleine is cute too... As well as the "piggy" one. :) <=== Wonderful drawings!

My older son loved the Franklin books.  There are certain ones I read to my 1st graders every year.
I loved the Frances books. Even just the title Bread and Jam for Frances makes me smile.

My kids and I enjoyed the Pinkerton dog series. It helped that my in-laws breed Harlequin Great Danes.

Oh yes -- hard not to see Karma's books here. I think she now lives in Montana. Her books are EVERYWHERE! And they're so adorable too!

I think Karma Wilson's Bear books are my favorite.  I love the rhythm of the text in each of her stories.

Mo Willems also has some great series.  That silly pigeon always makes my kids laugh, and we just recently discovered the Elephant and Piggie series.  So funny!

I also really like Jackie Urbanovic's Duck books.  Oh, and Martin Waddell's Little Bear stories.

Wow, it's so hard to choose!  Lots of great PB series out there!

I think Jane Simmons is a very talented writer/illustrator. She has made the wonderful Daisy (the duck) series AND the Ebb and Flo series.

Cynthia Rylant's Mr Putter and Tabby series, illustrated by Arthur Howard. Beautiful, funny PBs, and they're all about an old man and his old cat. Graham Oakley's Church Mice series, about a group of church mice and their non-mice-eating cat friend, which manage to be intelligent, perceptive, beautifully illustrated, and hilarious all at once.

We used to have the Serendipity series of pbs written by Stephen Cosgrove.  Well I dont know why I say used to have because I just went and retrieved them from my mom's attic. ALOT  of them.  Nice pictures and with a moral to the story at the end. When I read them now, after all this time I can still remember everything that happens in every book.
