Magazine subs while being agented

Discussion started on

You'll have to forgive me if this is a silly question, as I'm still new at the whole being-officially-agented thing! But for magazine subs, can I send out on my own, or do I need to involve my agent? I'm thinking it's the former, but I wanted to be sure before I did.

Thanks!

It will usually say in your agent contract/agreement, but for me both times the agent has only been "in charge" of subbing "book-length works."

Ugh. Why didn't I think of that?  :reaction Makes total sense! I'm thinking mine says that too, now that you mention it.

Thanks Deena!
