Just found this! This is very helpful for checking if words/idioms are authentic to your time period:

I use that site all the time! I just wallow in etymology -- I can hardly finish a sentence without wondering where one word or another came from. (Which makes for rather broken conversation.) That site is particularly amazing because it seems to all be the work of one man.
