Submission format for craft

Discussion started on

Hi Everyone~

I have an idea for a craft that I'd like to submit to Highlights High Five. I've never submitted a craft idea before, so I'm unsure of how I would format my submission.

Any input is appreciated!

I haven't submitted a craft, but I heard the editor talk about this when I was there for a Highlights Foundation workshop.

Whenever possible, they like you to send them an actual sample of the craft. And then the written portion would be formatted the way you'd want it to appear in the magazine, with the description of it and the step-by-step directions.

Yes, Pinkpolished is correct. Highlights will want a photo of the finished craft. The written portion would have the name of the craft and all the steps needed to reach the finished project. I believe HL even has a limit for number of steps, although I couldn't say what that is.

Good luck!
