The only books about aliens that I know of are The DANIEL X series by Patterson and the book INVASION.

Any alien books published within the last ten years you know of?

Thank you!

P.S. Can this pass as E.T.? ---->  :neck

ALIENS ON VACATION by Clete Smith came out in 2011, and the sequel is coming out this year. Published by Disney/Hyperion. Super fun MG series.

I AM NUMBER FOUR is another YA, followed by its sequel, THE POWER OF SIX...

And Ignatius MacFarland: Frequenaut! by Paul Feig is MG.

The gold standard for MG alien books is THE TRUE MEANING IF SMEKDAY by Adam Rex. Mark Teague's THE DOOM MACHINE is another alien invasion story, and in the graphic novel realm there's ZITA THE SPACEGIRL.

I was thinking of Alien Invasion and Other Inconveniences by Brian Yansky until I realized that you meant books with alien(s) central characters. I'm having a foggy day.  :-|

THE HOST by Stephenie Meyer. Not sure if it's YA exactly/ or necessarily 'aliens' but it's about planet-hopping parasites that implant in human brains and take over their bodies.

Sorry, that's all I can think of at the moment.

Usually I avoid mentioning this because it is a GIGANTIC SPOILER, but since you asked...

(psst, my recent paranormal YA thriller ULTRAVIOLET involves aliens)

And it's FABULOUS, and you should read it even if you aren't interested in aliens!

The main character in Anna Sheehan's A LONG, LONG SLEEP is heir to (or ward of, depending on who you ask) an interplanetary corporation, and yes, aliens exist. YA.

Not to self promote too much, but I did want to add that Publishers Weekly referred to Galaxy Games as "every alien-obsessed kid's dream come true."   :starwars:
