SCBWI's Blueboard - A Message & Chat Board

downloading an avatar picture

Discussion started on

Hi,

I seem to be extremely computer challenged today and am having great difficulties in downloading cover art from my book as an avatar!  I keep getting told its too big and I'm not sure how to make it fit.  Is there a clever way to go about this because I'm not having any luck.

Thanks in advance for the help!

You can make it smaller on your computer in a photo manager program and then try uploading it; alternately, you can upload it to Photobucket and fiddle with the size there, then download it to here.  Good luck!

Your image should be a jpg, it should be set to 72 resolution and should be about 1 to 2 inches tall and wide. It can't be over 100 kb.

Hope that helps, too.
