My throat is worse.  :feelbad And now that it's not buying me time off work I feel worse about it, too. Still hoping to write tonight, but I also know I need sleep if I'm going to kick this thing.

Hi, all --
A bit of a side-step here with a corneal abrasion (just what we writers want!  :cry2  :oops) but it should heal in a few days, doc said, and I have antibiotic drops.
MVP, have you tried gargling with Listerine or salt water?  :crossedfingers that will help. Naps are healing, as you know.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets well!
Aloha,
Tori :palmtree :pizza

So sorry to hear MVP. Get some rest this weekend. The writing can wait. Who knows maybe you will dream an idea for your story.

Tori- ouch, that sucks. Hope you get better soon too.

:hugs to all under-the-weather blueboarders. Woke excessively early and had intended to go to a writer's brunch in the Capital but was too exhausted to travel (it would have taken three hours by train). Then I became restless so I trotted into the coffee shop to nurse a cappuccino and produced my pen and paper. Wrote eight hundred (quite painful longhand) and...COMPLETE! Finished the sequel of the story I wrote last year.
Severe hand-cramp in flow. Now, to type it all up! :revising :techi :mad4 :coffee

Thunderingelephants, I'm glad to hear you made such good progress.

I hope everyone is having a happy Monday; I'm working on some stubborn pbs today before a Skype with 4th graders from MI.

Way to go thunderelephants, hope your hand is feeling better.
Hi Melissa.

I was up late last night doing finishing a pb revision. Not sure if I like it but at least it's done. So I didn't wake up this morning. But I will be revising another pb tonight.

For those of you in the Northeast stay safe and stay warm. Sending you some CA sunshine.   :sun :palmtree

So glad to hear your eye issues are better, Tori. Happy writing!

I can't sleep, so I'm going to be a middle-of-the-night writer tonight. Hopefully I can catch a bit of sleep in the morning.

I hope you got some writing done in the wee hours, Melissa K, in spite of your wee one!
Today is wrestling with a pb; my CP in MN gave me some great ideas yesterday. Let's hear it for CPs! :stars3

Thanks for the sympathy and well-wishing, everyone. I took off of school this afternoon for a dentist appointment, and once my teeth were clean I wrote in a coffee shop for two hours while treating myself to something caffeinated and sugar-laden with zillions of calories. It was fantastic. Both the writing time and the drink.

Tori, I'm glad your CP gave you such good ideas! Hope the revising goes well.
Melissa, how did your middle-of-the-night writing go? Are you exhausted today or could you catch up on sleep this morning?

Love the wee wordplay here, Tori, but in the interest of defending my wee one's honor, it wasn't his fault I was up in the middle of the night. He slept like a champ, but I got hit with a case of garden-variety insomnia. The writing went okay, and I managed a morning nap before the day started.

Miriam, I'm glad you got such an awesome extra writing session.

Tori, hooray for your CPs!

Hi Everyone.
I was supposed to work on a revision instead I started writing the pitch for a different story.
Going to try and spend the next 24 hours on a new PB story. Gotta get the first draft out of the way (hardest thing for me) so I can get back to revising (which i love .. most of the time). Can't slack off the new 12x12 year.

Happy Friday and Happy Writing!

Good morning, Auri Lynn and Melissa K! Yes, the more, the merrier! :partytime
This is a great thread for making me accountable for my writing time! None of this  :paperbag or this  :hiding
I fear there's no time for writing this weekend, but, with any luck, revision ideas will be simmering on the back burners, ready for Monday AM!
Happy writing, all!

Hi Everyone.
Woke up got my PB revision done. Not sure what I think of it, but I sent it off to my critique group.
Now onto the Superbowl party this afternoon, to which I will be taking my writing bag. Nothing against football but ~3.5 hours is too long. Looking forward to brainstorming a new PB story.

Welcome Auri Lynn!!

I was up but on the road at 5AM with DH to drive 2 1/4 hours to babysit poor, sick Adorable between nanny coverage while daughter and SIL are each traveling on business. Not much writing today, but, Darshana, you inspired me to brainstorm some pb ideas! (Loved the Super Bowl writing bag!).

Happy writing, everyone!

Good morning Early Birds! I had a nice little writing session this morning. It was hard to pull myself away from it at the end. Two more weeks and I get to "track out" (my school's alternative to summer vacation.)  :stars3 :stars3 I can't wait!
