Tori and Darshana, way to go working a little writing into busy days.

MVP, I'm glad you had a good writing session this morning. I've never heard of "track out." How does it work?

I have a cough, and I keep sleeping badly. Off to write anyway.

Good Morning MVP - glad to hear your writing session went well.
Hi Melissa - hop you get some rest.

I finally started on character profiles for a new PB story idea. Now wonder I haven't been motivated to get up these past few mornings. New stories/characters are the hardest for me. I'd much rather do revisions.

Good morning, fellow-scribblers!
Darshana, how cute that your brain puts on the brakes for new drafts, so you sleep in! :)  I hope you make good progress on that shiny, new story! Melissa K and MVP, let's keep the germs at bay and have fun writing.
Off for errands and writing later. Keep those laptops humming, all!  :typing :typing

Didn't happen for me this morning.  Day job is kicking my butt and on top of that it looks like my daughter might have an ear infection. Late bedtime last night followed by a rough night. Hope you all have more successful days. Congrats Auri Lynn on your early start! Can I tell you that I love your name, by the way? Every time I read it I think, "Oh, how pretty."

Tori - more like my brain gets into a car wreck and I have to wobble myself over to my writing space.

This morning, I did filled out a few more lines for my character profiles. Gosh it is hard to just pull details out of thin air.

Good Morning Auri, Melissa, Tori
MVP - Hope your daughter feels better and things are a little less stressful at work.

Thanks...

For the record I logged on for support, but didn't get any writing done either. Taking a grad course and it is completely consuming any and all free time I have with readings, essays, exams and management plans.  So I need to get up even earlier to get back to my book.  I will try again tomorrow.

Congrats to all who wrote today!  :yourock

Happy Writing everyone.
Didn't do any writing this morning but did start reading some PBs (mentor text research) for a new story.
Will do some revisions on a PB during lunch if my brain allows. Still feeling a little brain dead after a heated conference call for my day job.

I didn't get out of bed at 5am like I'm supposed too. Instead I kept noodling with a new PB idea my hubby had suggested the night before. Then in little spurts during the morning routine. I wrote a sh**** first draft of a PB and I am thrilled! As usual it's not a character-driven story those take a lot more work up front for me. But I'm happy.  :love5 :love5
Now I get to go back to revising some PBs that I need to send to my mentor.

Happy Friday!

Darshana, how cute your DH gives you ideas!  :love5
I'm checking in, but have no time to write today; yesterday was a good day for submitting, though. We know how detail-oriented that has to be; it's way more fun to be able to  :writing3

Happy weekend, all! See you Monday!

Congrats on drafting a new PB, Darshana! I admire you PB writers for being able to put a whole story into such a small space.

Tori, good luck with the submission. :stars3

Yeah, happy to hear you all are writing away.
I am doing research on peacocks and reading other PBs with peacocks before I do revisions on a PB.

Didn't make it this morning. I succumbed to my snooze alarm. Hoping to get to bed earlier tonight to give myself a better shot at it tomorrow.

I was looking back at the beginning of this thread, and I saw that the original poster said she only needed to set an alarm clock for the first three days! Then her body just woke her up naturally! I am floored by this concept and jealous, too. Is anybody else in this group like that? For me it is a serious struggle every. single. morning.

Oh well. Three more days to track-out! I'll get a three-week break from the day job and I can go back to being a night owl for a while.  :yay

Her baby woke her up? Well, duh. Oh, wait. That says "body," doesn't it?

Dang it. The baby is crying. *Sigh.*

Okay, I'm checking in for reals now.

MVP, good luck with the good fight to get out of bed. I'm glad you won this morning's round. It's a struggle for me, too. I'd be a morning writer no matter what, but I'd write later in the morning if I had my druthers.

I'm working on a YA sci-fi novel, which isn't exactly my normal type of project, but I'm having a great time with it.

And now that I've checked in here, I think I'll get working on it. Happy writing, everyone!
