My niece is over the paranormal, dystopian, and "issues" trends and has started reading contemporary and can't get enough. She loves Sarah Desson, Stephanie Perkins and Simone Elkeles. Can I get some more suggestions for her?

Nina LaCour's books, Jandy Nelson, Jessica Martinez - that's off the top of my head.

I absolutely loved E. Lockhart's The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks.
Also, for a feel-good tearjerker, Tiffany Schmidt's Send Me A Sign was wonderful. It's her debut and comes out in October.

I second The Sky Is Everywhere, anything by E. Lockhart, and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.
I also recommend Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson, Ditched by Robin Mellom, and The Anti-Prom by Abby McDonald.

I second Sarah Ockler.
I really enjoyed her latest novel, Bittersweet.
The Best Night of Your (Pathetic) Life by Tara Altebrando is fast-paced and funny.

Ally Carter? Her spy girl stories (I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You, et al) aren't strictly romance, but the romance is played up. And Heist Society has a fair amount of romance, too.

Thanks all! These are great suggestions. I forgot how much I loved The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. That might be the first one I get here and give her a list of authors.

The Jessica Darling series by Megan McCafferty - starts with SLOPPY FIRSTS - are a lot of fun. Extra points for being in diary format!
Another fun romance that comes to mind is DASH AND LILY'S BOOK OF DARES by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.
And I second Ally Carter and E. Lockhart!
Edit: Meg Cabot! Meg Cabot! How could I forget her? The queen of fun, fluffy teen romance.

Great list. I'll add Dairy Queen to the mix.
I must get my hands on Statistical Probability! What a great title!

Some of my favorite contemps: I love Jennifer Echols (Forget You, Going too Far, Such a Rush) Miranda Keaneally (Catching Jordan, Stealing Parker) and if she wants an awesome contemp story with a paranormal twist Megan Miranda's Fracture.

The Summer I Turned Pretty series by Jenny Han. Straight up contemp. Also love the Bodyfinder series by Kimberly Derting if she wants a little paranormalish twist.
Enjoy!
