Does anyone remember how much money you could take out of an ATM in one transaction in Canada back in 1986 or so? Also, if you had a bank account in one city could you withdraw funds from your bank account while somewhere else in Canada via the ATM the way you can now?

I didn't have an ATM card back then so I have no clue how it worked back then and would appreciate any help.  :moose

If you need an accurate answer, ask a bank. I did have an ATM card back then but I'm not sure about the amount you could withdraw. I *think* it may have been $200 but my memory's vague. I do remember that the card was advertised as being usable in a different city.

I know that for my card in 1986 it was $100/day up to $400/week. I lived off of it in T.O.
