I am researching for a WIP PB.

Where do you think a 5 year old boy would want to go if he could go anywhere in the world. Silly, fun,  zany places and the more unusual the better. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!
Sharon

This isn't so unusual, but the North Pole to visit Santa is at the top of the list.

Sounds like a fun PB, Sharon! Good luck with it!!

My 5 year old would go to Starbucks, a graveyard to search for zombies, or the park. I just asked him. :)

My son was into Hotwheels back then, and Legos (still loves Legos), so maybe The Hotwheels Factory (or a made-up brand, The Cool Cars Factory).

At that age, my son would've wanted to go to China to see real, live pandas! Or, any sports stadium. Or a candy factory.

My first thought was the moon. My second thought was the bottom of the sea.

My son, who just turned 7, expressed interest over the last couple of years that he wanted to go to the moon or Legoland. We chose Legoland. Oh, I forgot one...at 5 he also really wanted to play "on top of the clouds." Now that he's a mature 7 year old he understands this isn't possible:)
Sounds like a fun pb, Sharon!

Into culverts--deep, dark culverts because my guys thought they might be able to get to the middle of the earth and bring back some lava. They also dug very deep holes to get to China. It was supposed to be a shortcut.

Down the toilet to see where everything goes? Or to look for something he inadvertently flushed down.

..to play "on top of the clouds."

That is a fantastic idea for a kids' book.

ACT 1: Laying in the field looking at clouds -- seeing imaginary creatures and things as a trip is anticipated

ACT 2: Dreaming of playing in this cloud world and seeing the sites

ACT 3: In an airplane, on the trip. Looking down at the clouds as a parent explains what clouds are made of

Surely there is already a book like this?
