Aside from a certain cover featuring Vincent Wu, which are your favourite boy-led adventure covers of late? Looking for inspiration...

Thank you!

PS MG or YA.

Enchanted Inkpot just posted Part 1 of their Middle Grade Cover Round-up. Lots of great boy-focused covers there: http://enchantedinkpot.blogspot.com/2013/03/in-your-dreams-new-middle-grade-covers.html

They'll be posting Part 2 tomorrow, I think, then the YA covers in April.

Jack Ferriaolo's new one has a nice cover, though it may not meet your definition of adventure. And John Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice and Brotherband series have covers that spell boy book. Oh, and I first picked up Matthew Kirby's Icefall because of its cover.

One of my all-time favourites (not just for the cover, too): THE SONG OF THE WHALES by Uri Orlev.

It's not a novel 'of late' as you mentioned, Franzilla, but in case you're interested, here's its Goodreads link: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6783155-the-song-of-the-whales   :)

I am LOVING cover designs for MG, lately--especially adventure (and I don't even read that many adventure stories).

This is quieter and not really boy-adventure, but I love the reboot (is that what we call it?) of Sharon Creech's novels.  Sadly, I cant find the info of who did the lovely cover art, but they are so adventure-longing-magic-excitement-looking, to me.  Would love to see the younger Eva Ibbotson fantasy books done the same way.

I thought the cover of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" was very cool.

PS: Kurtis -- he absolutely did! Great cover, congrats!

I still think Brett Helquist's covers for "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" are fantastic. All of his covers, really.

Kurtis, I love that cover. The dragon is so cool. One of my favorites (though not super recent) is PETER NIMBLE AND HIS FANTASTIC EYES by Jonathan Auxier. I agree, there are some awesome MG covers out there.

:) That IS a pretty good cover, isn't it? (and thanks Siski!)

I'm also a fan of the cover for THE WINTER OF THE ROBOTS.
