I just spend the better part of a day going through the exhaustive list of posts to see how I could improve my fantasy WIP. I now have a two-page list of ideas for the plot, worldbuilding, and characterization of the book.

In case it hasn't been shared here yet, I definitely recommend http://curiosityquills.com/limyaaels-rants/ for its usefulness and thought-provoking rants. (Some language is NSFW or kids, but the author kicked my butt with a few cliches I needed to get rid of in my own work.)

Thought I'd pass this along! (And if you are limyaael ... thank you.)

Wow, that's great Andrea! Thanks for posting it. Of course, now I'm going to be spending time reading that instead of writing... :-)

Oh, I know, Anthony! Same here. I easily spent a few hours reading the archives (so everyone who goes there ... be warned!), but I think in the end it will be worth it. I've been stuck on a couple of plot points for quite awhile now and I'm trying to find a good way to fix that problem. I think I have some good ideas from today's reading!
