I am working on an article on the invention of Tonka Trucks for the Boys Quest theme of Inventions. I would really like to include a few photos of the steel trucks. Does anyone have kids that still have these? Would you be willing to email me a picture of them?

Thanks
Sharon

Every time I see the subject line of this thread, I think it says, "Anyone's kids steal Tonka Trucks?"  :haha

I always liked Tonka Trucks, but I never had any. Never stole any either, not even my brother's!

Good luck with your article, Schriscoe!

I loved the steel Tonka trucks. My brothers and I played with those in our sandbox for hours. I don't know what happened with them all. They probably got destroyed. We were pretty tough on them, and my brothers did like to blow things up with firecracks. They probably tied a GI Joe to the back of one along with a mat of firecrackers.

Good luck with your article. It sounds like fun.
