Tenth of December? Great book!

Yes, Whizbee! Not kid lit but I love Saunders and I can't get that particular one out of my head. Great collection.

The groaning glacier was from ICEFALL, by Matthew J. Kirby. Really enjoyed that book, but I'm astounded by the way the cover kind of gives the ending away.

(This was a fun game! And I'm another one who enjoyed her time in Copperplate City!)

You did, olmue!
:)

Do you know I read two books back to back that both, by sheerest coincidence, contained versions of Odin's ravens, Thought and Memory? ICEFALL and THE GIRL WHO FELL BENEATH FAIRYLAND AND LED THE REVELS THERE! I guess ravens are in!

I am also (along with my kids) in Delaware. But definitely not the Delaware I remember driving through at age 9 when I moved to Arkansas in real life! Er, this particular Delaware has vaultopults on the rooftops (like giant catapults made of spoons that people use as transport), a language called Doverian that lacks most vowels, and jungles, flame-pits, and spies. Supposedly this exists in contemporary times, and even comes with a state song that sounds something like an Indian snake chant. I'm wondering why I didn't see this version when I was nine. It would have made the move MUCH more interesting...
