Hairaplenty, those are both more tween/lower YA, but yes, they're both very funny.
My son enjoyed the Big Nate books, the Alcatraz books by Brandon Sanderson, Ordinary Boy and its sequels by William Boniface, Calvin & Hobbes (ha), Pendragon series by DJ McHale (he says it can be funny, but there are some not-so-funny parts too), Guys Read: Funny Business -- to name a few.
