Looking for your help in brainstorming! What kind of dares might 5th grade boys (best friends) make to each other? I'm not afraid of wacky or wild....but nothing illegal. And nothing too dangerous, of course!

"I dare you to bawk like a chicken in the middle of all-school meeting...."

"I dare you to burp the ABCs during math class...."

"I dare to you text Allie and tell her how much you liked her outfit today..."

Things like that. And, really, being boy-centric does not mean limited to fart jokes and daredevil stunts, of course.  :)

Thanks for your help!

Eat bugs. Eat fish food. Eat cat treats. Put a caterpillar on mom's toothbrush. (Yes. He did.)

From my 3rd grade boy today: I dare you to climb the tinkertoy tower. (FYI, NOT a good idea)

Memories from my husband:

Dare to yell "Vote for ___" to strangers (although he knew nothing about the candidates)

Dare you to drink an unknown beverage (Dr. Pepper in a Coke bottle, etc)

Dare you to make the city bus pull over, then not get on

Dare you to jump off tires/backstops/other people's shoulders/anything he could climb

Dare you to....
stick a garden snake in the teacher's desk.
Pretend to be a volcano and spew milk at lunch when so-and-so walks by.
Walk backwards all the way to gym class.
Pick and flick a booger at your enemy.
Swipe so-and-so's sandwich from his lunch  box and stick a liverwurst sammy with gummy worms and mayo in its place.
Kiss my sister! (yuck)

What about something big, like try out for choir even though your voice is horrible and you have stage fright and the girl you like is in it...and to make it worse you make the cut because not enough people tried out and you get stuck doing it.

Dare to eat ______
Fill in the blank with any single or combination of foods or non-foods, edible or non-edible items.
The more specific - name brands, insect species, source of the droppings - the funnier.

Ooo! Some of these are so perfectly disgusting!  :grouphug2:

Arty....um.....  :faint2:

I remember in high school my brother taking a dare to eat a can of Fancy Feast cat food. He did it, and earned the nickname!

Also in high school: I had a science fair experiment that involved about 2 dozen goldfish, each in their own little bowls. Went away the parents for a weekend, came home -- no goldfish. Apparently there had been a goldfish-swallowing dare at a party my brother had. Poor fishies....

I dare you to eat.... (fill in the blank). The nastier the better.  I ate fish eyes on a dare when I was around that age.

In fifth grade I remember EVERYTHING was dirty. For some that meant off-the-wall stories that would make me blush even to this day. For others it was stuff like the number "six" being dirty because it sounded too much like ... you know ... tee hee

The boys were totally in on it too.

I could see them daring each other to say something "dirty" to a girl or a teacher or something, which would seem so scandalous to a fifth grader but kind of eye roll-worthy to an adult.

Well, I asked the expert (my dh) and he  suggested having someone fart in class or at lunch.
Bottle a fart and bring the jar to school.
Also, (and this might be at home, not school, if it doesn't have to be at school), light a fart with a match. Not that he did any of these things, but he heard stories!

Back when I drove a door-to-door passenger van, a young Catholic school student once mooned someone from the back window...   :mooning

My brother and his friend used to do the Mr. Wizard - Science Guy - whoever the science person is on TV you want to make up experiments to the extreme (when my parents were not around).  The one he remembers having the most fun with is taking a dry cleaning bag and taping the holes shut and then holding a lighter under it until it became a hot air balloon and would fly fairly high in the neighborhood and eventually land in someone's yard, roof, etc.

They did a lot of extreme biking, before extreme biking became a sport.  So you could have them dare to do something they saw on a YouTube video- either with skateboards or bikes.

Camping outside and then sneaking away from the tent in the backyard to go spy on someone...

Try frying an egg on the sidewalk/street (wouldn't mom be happy to discover her eggs are gone!)

Throw eggs at people or houses (yeah my brother did this, but he was older and he did get into a lot of trouble)

Crossing a closed bridge

going into a construction site and bringing out a trophy

Show your underwear, all of it.

Cartwheel or somersault in the hall.

Write your name on a wall or bathroom stall. Write something else.

Steal from the teacher's or janitor's closet.
