CWIM vs. Websites

Discussion started on

Ack, I'm confused.
Does publisher website submission info trump
the info listed in the newest CWIM?
It seems the website info would be more current,
but then again, maybe it isn't updated too often.
Have no idea.

Sterling in the CWIM states no fiction for PB's.
Their website doesn't say that.
Ack.

Yes, I'd take the website as being the most up to date source of information. I would always check cwim against the websites as things can change fast in publishing.

Oh and I'm pretty sure Sterling was one of the houses my agent subbed my PBs to (but it was a while ago now), and they were definitely fiction.

If CWIM and the site differ, I'd also go with what the site says.

Also, I have Book Markets for Children's Writers 2014 (the ICL publication). Their listing definitely says they do fiction PBs.

Thanks, Artemesia and mrh.
Maybe they just took a short break
from accepting fiction pb and now
are open again.

Sterling does accepts PBs. One of the few who do. I'm pretty sure they don't want non-fic.
