Hi!
I'm looking for recommendations of YA or older-MG books that feature childbirth, please.  I'm reading Dowd's 'A Swift Pure Cry' at the moment and it is excellent.

Midwife's Apprentice by Karen Cushman
There is another book with Midwife in the title but I cannot remember the author's name ... it was an adult book, but could be a crossover YA. I believe she was on the boards several years ago ... I'm sure it will come back to me.
