Hi! Can you explain a bit more what you mean by "advanced?" For an "older" age group than birth-8 or so?

fiction or non-fiction?
by advanced do you mean something that could be used in 3-5th grades? in this case it would most likely have to be of the non-fiction variety.

How to Wear a Sari (HMH Books/Versify, Spring 2021)

The Lost Thing by Shaun Tan might fit.

Personally. I love "North star" http://www.peterhreynolds.com/phr_thenorthstar.html and  "Rose's garden" . Both are by Peter.H.Reynolds and have  are very layered. Older readers can definitely diver deeper.

It's my iPad making the spelling mistakes, not I!

Some of Eve Bunting's and Patricia Polacco's should fit.

Many of the books that tackle emotional issues, like death, are meant for older readers. I remember one on homelessness, but not the title or author.

Thank you, Shilpa and Debbie.

It is very hard to emulate Patricia Polacco. She is one of a kind!  :star2
