Audio recordings for kids?

Discussion started on

Hi, does anyone have recommendations for great audio series for kids? We have a lot of the Classical Kids and the Greathall Productions. Would love to find more recordings that combines story and perhaps music (although music is not essential). Any favorites out there?

For what age group? For my children from the age 5 to 10, we listened to the Tales of Frog Princess series, Spiderwick Chronicles, and Sisters Grimm series, among others. We like fairy tales and fantasy.

Right now I'm listening to The Goose Girl, which is recorded by Full Cast Recordings, a format I recommend. I started this title with my kids, but it's too tense for them. But I'm listening on my own because it's a favorite of mine and so soothing in the car. The trials of royalty are less tense than commuting traffic, I guess!

THE BOOK DRAGON, Sterling, October 2, 2018
MIRA FORECASTS THE FUTURE, Sterling, 2016

Try the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Treasury.   The collection contains four of the books plus super catchy songs to go along with each one.

I've listened to many wonderful audio books for kids. First one that comes to mind is Charlotte's Web, read by the one and only E. B. White! Depending on where you live, you might be able to find lots of series at your local library.
