My short article was published in today's Toronto Star (local newspaper)!
In August readers were asked to submit stories about wildlife in the city. I submitted 400 words about Boomerang the skunk--whom longtime Blueboarders will remember. I had asked the kind, savvy people here for advice on getting rid of a problematic skunk in my garden before he sprayed my dog. Sure enough, you people had a number of suggestions. I turned it into a humorous article.
I had to edit it down from 400 words to 150. My experience in writing poetry helped with that feat!
Of over 200 submissions, my article was the only one to be featured in the print edition of the newspaper; some others were in the digital edition.
Echo and I are Snoopy dancing today!
Modified to include a better link:
http://www.thestar.com/life/2015/10/16/how-torontonians-can-co-exist-with-their-furry-neighbours-even-raccoons.html
My article is at the end, and starts at Tales of Tails. The headline is "This skunk got drunk."

The link demands I give it my email and all my contacts...
But like the others said- this is fabulous. I have your poetry book and love it, so I am not surprised.
