I've been impatiently waiting for Kiersten White's AND I DARKEN to come out next summer, but just read it isn't actually about dragons!

Does anyone have suggestions for dragon books out there that have been recently published? I tried looking it up in GR, but the list has the usual books such as Eragon etc.

I'm looking for YA, and new releases or upcoming.

I've heard good things about E.K. Johnston's THE STORY OF OWEN, and I'm a fan of Joshua McCune's TALKER 25 books.

I enjoyed Mari Mancusi's trilogy, starting with Scorched. It's about dragons and time travel (it's pretty clever, imo). The third book just came out a couple months ago.

And I haven't read Seraphina, but I believe that's about dragons (and she just had a new book come out too, but I don't know if it's part of the same series -- perhaps someone else does).

Seraphina and Shadow Scale (the sequel) are definitely about dragons and I recommend them...

Mike mentioned The Story of Owen, Dragonslayer of Trondheim, and there's now a sequel out, too---fascinating take on dragons. They're a bit older, but you know about Alison Goodman's Eon and its sequel Eona, right? (And not YA, nor new, but I can't resist mentioning Naomi Novik's Temeraire series!)

Forgot about Julie Kagawa's Talon series, which is new and has a forthcoming title (haven't read them, but I hear they have dragons).
