The Greater Rochester Teen Book Fest is now in its 11th year! Anyone who is in the area and can make it out to this FREE event on Saturday, May 14th, I highly recommend that you do (and if you have teens, bring them, too!).

Check out the newly designed website and list of 32(!!!) authors who will be presenting: https://www.teenbookfest.org/authors/
(A taste for those who don't click: Laurie Halse Anderson, Scott Westerfeld, Carolyn Mackler, Kekla Magoon...just click already so I don't have to list them all! ;-))

I can't believe that it was 11 years ago when I posted my excitement here after attending the first Fest. Since then the roster of authors has quadrupled, the venue has expanded to an entire college campus, and thousands of teens now attend. There is also a DJ, live music, food trucks, writing workshops, and more!

This year will be my second as a moderator for the Teen Author Panel, and I can't wait to see all the budding teen authors in the audience.

Maybe I'll see some of you there???
 :yeah

THIS IS TODAY! Anyone within driving distance and a few free hours should come!

31 authors, FREE!
https://www.teenbookfest.org/authors/

So far 1800 teens are slated to be there, arriving by bus. That doesn't count the local teens driving in for the day. We'll probably hit 3000. I just love seeing teen readers interacting with authors and treating them like the rock stars they are. :goldstar

OK, I'll gush more after the event as appropriate. :-D

Gosh, this looked like fun! If I hadn't had an event in the city, I would've come up. I'm a huge YA fan.

Do you guys have MG authors, or just YA? I'll have much more time open in my schedule next year so I'm making a list of potential events. Otherwise, if I'm not booked we'll totally make the trip!

:)
