Hi, Tali,

If you click on this link it will reveal all of the SCBWI chapters. Israel is on there. https://www.scbwi.org/region-map/

Please feel free to ask questions right here on these boards. There are many people here who would be happy to answer any questions you have. You also may want to review some of the threads and see if your questions get answered on any of them.

Good luck and welcome to the writing community!  :)

first of all, thanks for the warm welcome!

I just have lots of stories I wrote on my computer and I don't even know where to go in order to print them
and make books out of them, or who to consult regarding the grammar and such before I show them to the world :)

I AM going to print this 300 book I downloaded from here, but I guess that this guide book's audience is mainly Americans, but what should
a little Israeli like me should do for a start?

Welcome Crystal!

Regarding printing them, are you planning to self publish? If not, then you don't need to look for a place to print them.

As far as consulting for grammar and such, there is a wonderful secure online critique board right here that you can receive lots of helpful feedback. https://www.scbwi.org/boards/index.php?board=121.0

Or if you prefer a one on one critique you can request a critique on this board https://www.scbwi.org/boards/index.php?board=73.0

As for starting, you are in the right place. Take a look around these boards and immerse yourself in the knowledge that is widely available here. And feel free to ask questions and get involved in discussions.

This is THE BEST kidlit board there is and the knowledge you will learn on these boards is invaluable.

Best of luck and welcome aboard!!

Tali, I never navigated the publishing maze in Israel, so I can't help with that. But Sharon (Schiscoe) gave good, solid and universal advice on how to start.
Your best bet is to link with Israeli writers of children's books, published or not. I know that self-publishing is just as bustling in Israel as in the U.S.A., and it may or may not be a viable way to market there. But I suspect that the main book chains there are much harder to get into, (I know of only two and they are rather bureaucratic and leave little room for managers to make purchasing decisions locally) and I have no idea how many small independent bookstores are there.
If you are looking for traditional publishing, where you are paid an advance or at least royalties and the publisher edits and markets, you should look in book stores to see what they carry, and who is publishing. I think there is much less of a role for agents in children's books in Israel, perhaps the way it was in the U.S.A. only fifteen years back.
Are you writing in Hebrew for the local market, or are you writing in English? If in English for the English-speaking world, all the threads on these boards will help with craft and logistics and so much more. (Emotional support is no small necessity on this journey.)
There is a lot to learn. Start by scoring these boards, and go from there.
