I'll jump in with you, JFriday, along with the others joining. I'm going to use it as a chance to rework a first draft. I'm in a mad dash to get all my notes together by tomorrow night so I can start typing new stuff on Wed.

Good luck, everyone.

Yay! Happy NaNo.
I was so tired this morning but once I got into my story I pushed to 618 words.  :poke  The best part is seeing my storyline coming out. Must have been percolating in my mind these past months.   :badidea
Best of luck to all you scribblers.    :yourock

Yay, hairaplenty!

I've got a sick grandbaby with me, so in between walking her back and forth and changing both our clothes twice, I've gotten 690 done.  And the characters are already surprising me!

We CAN do this!

That's awesome, ladies! (Well, not the sick grandbaby part.) I had 20 minutes to work on it before work and I could only get around 360 words down. I've been struggling with finding an opening hook for my stories when it suddenly came to me last night after going to bed! So, now I'm antsy about getting home so I can keep going! I keep sneaking notes into my little notebook. Luckily, my boss is wearing loud shoes today! Shh...

Good luck, everyone! And I hope the little one feels better soon!

Thanks for the encouragement, Katie.  Posting my stats for today. Goal is to write 1000 new words each day while revising. Just met the goal and typed 1000 more words. Phew....

I didn't get a chance to write until after dinner, but I managed 511 words today. My goal is 500 a day, so that's okay. I do quite a bit of planning before I start writing, but new ideas and details come to me as I write. That has already begun to happen, so I'll count today a success.

Congrats for everyone's progress.

Thanks, Betsy, we need you to cheer us on!

Yay, Melody and Pons for reaching your goals! Sick grandbaby dropped off asleep, so I was able to get a bit of writing in. Mornings are my best times (that coffee kicks in), but I have to work around the little love.  Up to 3179 for yesterday and today, so I've got some writing to do later if I'm going to hit 50K.

cheers for everyone! :cheerleader

Thanks for the kind words, Betsy. Hair, 500 is great!  I set a GOAL of 1000 so that I will feel good with 500.

But yes, snuck in my 1000 words before dinner. Unfortunately, I had to delete about the same amount from my draft, so it is only up by 500, but hey, that's the way it goes when revising, so I'm feeling great with the 500 words added.

Last year I did not get very far at all, just wasn't excited about that plot and trashed it.  I wasn't sure whether to enter this year again but all your comments got me on board. I signed up yesterday just to make sure I showed up to work each day, so here I am on the Blueboards  :gaah.

1032 words today for a total of 2141

This was a good day for me, but I know I'll fall behind around Thanksgiving when I'll have family here. Of course, my rough draft is so extremely rough that it would make your teeth hurt to read it, but it provides a base for me to build on. Rough drafts are  the worse part of writing for me.  :)

Wow! There is a lot of writing going on! Isn't this great??

I have to confess you're about to learn how insecure I am. I'm so totally paranoid I won't meet the 50K limit that I keep writing over the daily count, just to make sure I'm not left behind. :sadcry I wrote about 3500 words today and I'm brain-dead. I took a break, went back to the computer, and ... nothing came out of my fingers. So that's it for the day.

I left my characters standing around and I don't know what they're going to do next. I hope they get inspired by tomorrow and let me know.

But hey, there's dragons in it. If I get too stuck, I can always have one flying around or something.  :dragonchase

Wow!  I don't think I've ever written 3500 words in one day. Congratulatons!
