Pet Peeve

This is more about a cat, not mine, if anything.
Just seeking your opinion: there is a cat, feral, living in an estate down the road from me who has become very attached to, as I have him. I posted a picture of him on facebook in a group I am in and have now started to get a torrent of "why don't you adopt him, he clearly loves you?". He does as I do him, but it's not feasible to adopt him, there's no space and I have to consider Spock.
How would you word it that once and for all I can't take him until I move and that is unlikely for the foreseeable future?

I suspect people are just remarking on your sweet relationship with the cat, but regardless, you owe them no explanation. If you want to give one, a cheery "No room!" would suffice.
