I caught the last half of this nifty PBS program and popped to their website to see what I missed. Apparently, this was the first of eight scheduled episodes; the others will air in the Fall.

Anything there that surprises? Anything missing?

One I would have included:  The Jungle by Upton Sinclair

The show's host, Meredith Vieira, said the upcoming episodes will be by topic, so I hope to see non-fiction and specifically kids' books covered, too.

I heard about this yesterday on Twitter. Interesting list. Some books I wouldn't have thought would be there. I'm going to use this as my audiobook list for the car this summer. Thanks, Carrots!
