Hello all!
I just wanted to say that Words and Pictures, the website of the British SCBWI, is going to be doing a new series on translators of children's and YA books. I am hoping to persuade the editors to make this an ongoing series, but at the moment the schedule is just four interviews with translators from Chinese, Arabic, German and Japanese. Hope you will enjoy them! Let me know if you have any questions, or post them in the comments on the article.

The first interview is with Helen Wang, who won the Marsh Award for translation of children's books for her translation of Bronze and Sunflower, by Cao Wenxuan.

So glad to see this new series on translators, beginning with SCBWI British Isles member Helen Wang! Kudos to the SCBWI British Isles, to series author Julie Sullivan, and to the team behind Words & Pictures, the SCBWI BI interactive magazine!
