Dear all,

My first book, “We’re All in the Same Boat” was published ten years ago by Putnam.  I was very lucky to be picked up by such a great publisher without an agent.

I am now at it again with a second book.  I feel like it’s back to square one.  But I recall how I just had to keep going at it.  Hopefully I will get picked up again!

:clover Good luck, Zachary! It's harder to get in front of an editor without an agent now--you might consider if you want to query before subbing.  :goodluck

Best wishes to you, Zachery.  It's not an easy journey, but you can't succeed if you don't try, so we're here to help cheer you on in your attempts.  :dancer

This is very true. A first book can help, but only if sales were very good, and yours is likely too long ago to count for much unless it's still in print. Good luck.
