Hi, All,

I just had this article published in Bookology ezine, a free, wonderful resource for writers, teachers, librarians and all sorts of readers. It's about a wonderful method of teaching writing that I found in the English Journal years ago. I hope you'll find it fun and useful and will pass it on!

Thanks so much for sharing, Tori! I always have my students highlight sparkly gems when they switch papers to give each other feedback, and then we read the sentences aloud so everyone has one of their sentences spotlighted. But I LOVE this idea of getting a sentence in the "green book" since it's something to strive for, and I love the way this leads to seeing other students as real writers.

Tori, I really enjoyed reading about this teaching idea! It's such a terrific way to encourage and inspire kids in their writing.  :yup  I'm sorry I'm no longer in the classroom.
