Estella enjoys watching the women, including her mother, exercising to Salsa. She's excited when asked to join. But then she is banned from the class because it is for adults only. When she learns in class about petitions and how women gained the right to vote, she starts a petition of her own to fight for kids' rights. The community center then starts a salsa class for youngsters.
Booklist (November 2013): "...Soon the kids in the neighborhood are dancing, and Estela has learned a lot about salsa and getting things done. The text appears in both English and Spanish, and soft watercolors capture Estela's excitement about doing new things."
