15 year old Miralee doesn't fit in. Girls in her village are expected to be wives and mothers and little else. They certainly aren't supposed to be bards. And they definitely do not fight demons. But Miralee longs for the first and is forced to do the latter. Faced with impossible choices at home, Miralee runs away. She only wants to be true to herself, but trouble and danger follow wherever she goes.
