SUE ALEXANDER AWARD:

Winner: Linda Kao: THE TREASURE OF THE FOGGY ISLES

The Treasure of the Foggy Isles: Toby Storm is failing pirate school. He doesn’t like sword fights, he’d rather read in the crow’s nest than keep lookout, his “ARR!” makes him sound like a landlubber and his sidekick is a chicken instead of a parrot.  When his teacher decides that a treasure hunt on a real pirate ship is just what he needs, he accidentally boards the wrong ship.   Adventure, hilarity and growth ensue.  The Treasure of the Foggy Isles is bound to be a hit with young readers and pirates everywhere!

Linda will receive an expense-paid trip to New York to meet with interested editors.

Lori Snyder's MG novel THE HEART AT THE END OF THE WORLD
