The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to foster public appreciation of children’s books and to support the vibrant community of people who create and promote them.
If you would like to support our organization you can do so in four ways:
1. General Donation.
You can donate using via Paypal. Click on the “Donate” button and you’ll be redirected to our Paypal page where you can donate using either your credit card or your Paypal account.
2. With membership. The easiest way to support SCBWI is with membership. Your continued membership makes our events, programs, grants, awards and outreach possible.
3. Donate to the Emergency/Tribute Fund. The SCBWI Emergency/Tribute Fund commemorates members of the children’s book community, their lives, and their work. All money donated to this fund will be used to help offer relief to SCBWI members who have suffered from either a health, economic, or natural disaster emergency.
You may pay by credit card OR send a check and the name of the person you would like to commemorate to:
Your tribute will be announced in the following Bulletin. Dollar amounts will not be listed. If you wish to remain anonymous please indicate so in your letter.
4. Donate to the Amber Brown Fund. Each year the SCBWI sends well respected children’s book authors and illustrators to two public schools who could not normally afford to have them.
