Q. I have already registered for the conference, but I forgot to sign up for the Portfolio Showcase/Pro Intensive/Launchpad Intensive. How can I add this to my registration?
A. Please fill out THIS FORM and an SCBWI staff member will follow up with your request shortly. You are also welcome to call (323) 782-1010 and someone will process your registration over the phone. Please have your credit card ready.
Q. Will SCBWI provide the emails and submission guidelines for the editors and agents who are presenting at The Big Five-Oh?
A. Due to the large number of conference attendees, we cannot provide submission guidelines for conference faculty. That said, sometimes agents or editors will provide them during their sessions. The conference is an excellent opportunity to hear from children’s book editors and agents and get clear on the types of books they represent. If you feel an agent or editor is a good match for your manuscript or artwork, you may research their submission guidelines and query them if they are open to unsolicited submissions.
Q. What is your refund policy?
A. Full refunds are given up until July 20th. After that, no refunds are available. To request a refund, please email Laurie Miller at lauriemiller@scbwi.org.
Q. When will I get my Zoom links?
A. Zoom links for all conference sessions will be provided in a downloadable attendee packet made available a week before the event.
Q. For the Pitch Roundtables, can I put myself on a specific editor’s or agent’s waitlist?
A. We’re sorry, you cannot. The waitlist is a general waitlist for any spot with any faculty member that becomes available.
Q. For the Pitch Roundtables, can I submit to the editor or agent I am assigned to?
A. If they are interested, they will request your manuscript. They are not open to submissions.

Q. How many images should I include in the Portfolio Showcase?
A. While there is no limit, we suggest 12-15 images.
