Workshop with Yvonne Banham aimed at writers at all stages of development, delivered through a combination of presentation and short exercises. Antagonists offer insight into the darker parts of our minds as readers and as writers, a safe space to explore common fears. The emphasis will be on the villains in dark tales of hauntings and the paranormal, but the skills will be transferable to other genres. This event is NOT Free! You must book a ticket.
Yvonne Banham is a children’s author based in Stirlingshire, she writes spooky adventures for readers aged 10-14. Her first book, The Dark and Dangerous Gifts of Delores Mackenzie, is a ghost filled, shapeshifting, paranormal whydunnit set in Edinburgh Old Town, which also focuses on friendships, personal boundaries and the joy of found family. As well as loving all stories with ghosts, monsters and things that go bump in the night, Yvonne enjoys using settings as character, exploring the characters themselves, including the ever-popular villains!
